Free Yoga Event Builds Autism Awareness

February 19, 2015

On Sunday, January 25th, more than 100 people came together at the Danbury Fair Mall in Connecticut to attend "Chatarangas for Change" -- a free community yoga event hosted by Dylan's Wings of Change and lululemon athletica Danbury. The event was developed to raise autism awareness--and just as importantly, to help raise funds for WE WILL RIDE, a nonprofit foundation offering progams of equine-assisted activities and therapies for people with disabilities.

With music by DJ Reese and brunch donated by Brio Tuscan Grille, the event raised over $500 for WE WILL RIDE.

“We’re thrilled to have partnered with lululemon athletica Danbury and leverage the healing power of yoga to bring people together in support of WE WILL RIDE,” says Ian Hockley, Executive Director of Dylan’s Wings of Change. “The profoundly therapeutic programming this group develops for children and adults with special needs can’t be overstated. We’re delighted to partner with local businesses to help all members of our community thrive.”

Stephanie Krieg, Key Leader of lululemon athletica at Danbury Fair Mall, is thrilled to have been part of the event. "We are so excited to be part of this fantastic event with Dylan’s Wings of Change,” she says. "We look forward to more partnership opportunities ahead."

We want to thank the organizers, instructors and yoga community for this fantastic event. Visit our events page to learn more about upcoming fundraising endeavors.
