Dance Teachers of Connecticut Inc. have a long history of charitable contributions and are a highly valued supporter of Dylan's Wings of Change. Tonight we were honored to be invited to their competition at the Ives Concert Hall at West-Conn to receive a donation of $2,500 from their treasurer Amy DeLoughy.
This display of generosity was doubled as Richard Brannigan, President of Kids for Kids matched the amount. Kids for Kids is a non-profit fundraising foundation based in North Haven, CT committed to supporting projects that improve children’s lives.
Thanking the organizations for their extremely kind donations Ian Hockley, the project director of Dylan’s Wings of Change dedicated the funds to the launch of the Wingman for Dance program scheduled for the summer of 2016.
After describing the program launch, Jessica Michaels, Global Ambassador of Wingman for Dance invited all the competitors and their families to a dance mob in Newtown, CT this April to celebrate National Dance Week with the theme of “a chance to dance”, promoting the benefits and accessibility of dancing for everyone. Check back on our NDW page in the coming days for news about the dance mob.
We are looking forward to continuing our partnership with these two great organizations and working with the Dance Masters of America to release the program nationwide later this year.
