The programs from Dylan's Wings of Change are made possible by the generosity of donors and supporters at our events through the year. Here are some of the events held so far this year and coming soon.
Winter Wings - Hosted by the Accessories Council, this charity cocktail function was held in New York City this January. The silent auction of more than 40 beautiful butterfly-themed accessories from well-known designers raised more than $5,000 for Dylan's Wings of Change. This incredible generosity from the guests was dedicated in a grant to D3 Sports and Recreation, a non-profit providing access to baseball and basketball for children with autism in the Bronx.

Blackbelts for Butterflies - Now in it's 3rd year, BB4B has grown into a nationwide series of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu super-seminars led by some of the most experienced practitioners of the art in the United States. Envisioned by Rich McKeegan as a way to honor Dylan's memory and raise awareness and funds, the inaugural event was hosted by the Bushido Jiu-jitsu Academy in Manchester, CT in May 2014. This year as well as Connecticut there will be two further seminars, one on the west coast (Washington) and in the south (Oklahoma), the latter two events benefiting non-profits in their respective states. BB4B CT is being held from April 15th-17th and registration is open now.
It's not just large or high profile events that help make the change. We are extremely grateful to the high school student from New Jersey entering his first marathon in May, and a family team of triplets in the Sandy Hook 5K this weekend. Running for Dylan has become a team of dedicated fundraisers numbering over 200 strong taking part in marathons, overnight relay races and our own Wingathlon event in Newtown, CT. You can contact us to find out out how to apply for places on our teams, or to start your own online fundraiser for a race you are taking part in.
